WASHINGTON (AP) -- A dance company in Northeast Washington is undergoing a major renovation and expansion.
District of Columbia Mayor Vincent Gray and Delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton, D-D.C., will be on hand for a groundbreaking ceremony Tuesday at Dance Place.
The company has raised more than $3 million of the $5 million it needs to expand its facility and meet other goals.
Dance Place offers weekend performances, dance classes for adults and children and arts education programs for youth.
