Petersburg appears in 3 history-based productions

PETERSBURG, Va. (AP) -- Another history-based production filmed in Petersburg will premiere in January.
The Progress-Index (http://bit.ly/12KyQ0v ) reports that a three-part documentary, "The Abolitionists," will be aired on the PBS series "American Experience" on Jan. 8, Jan. 15 and Jan. 22.
The series was filmed in Petersburg, Richmond and Powhatan County.
In February, the National Geographic Channel will air a two-hour special, "Killing Lincoln," that was shot in Petersburg.
Petersburg also was featured in Steven Spielberg's movie, "Lincoln."
