Fast-food workers dish on dishes to avoid

WASHINGTON — Many customers have favorite fast-food indulgences, while others steer clear of other dishes at chain restaurants.

Now, an article is helping separate the good from the bad at fast-food restaurants with the tips from the people who know best.

A Reddit post asked fast-food workers, “What should we NOT order at your restaurant? Why not?”

Huffington Post gathered some of the best responses including information that was interesting and slightly revolting.

It’s important to know that none of these claims have been verified and the identities of the people who made them are not disclosed.

Below are tips posted from the employees:

  • Stay away from the beans and steak at Taco Bell, says one former worker.
  • Wendy’s chili is made from hamburgers that have been hanging around too long. The same goes from the barbeque sandwiches at KFC, according to an employee.
  • The popcorn at the first showing at a movie theater is left over from the previous night, says another former worker.
  • And the amount of mold in a gas-station Slurpee machine “would crush your childhood to a pulp.”
