Need Christmas Eve reservations? These restaurants still have space

Staying in town this week and want to make some Christmas Eve dinner plans? While some go-to spots for holiday meals — Blue Duck Tavern, Fiola and Mrs. K’s among them — are already booked, it’s not too late to score a table at a bunch of restaurants around the region that are offering a bit of festive flair. Here are a few of them:

In D.C.:

Dino: This supposedly soon-to-close Cleveland Park favorite still has tables for its $59 Christmas Eve “Feast of the Seven (at least nine) Fish,” Chef Dean Gold’s take on the traditional Italian Christmas meal. What’s available: Open Table shows tables for four available at 6:00, 6:45, 7:45 and 8:15 p.m.

BLT Steak: This restaurant at 1625 Eye St. NW will be serving its regular menu as well as a few a la carte specials. What’s available: Open Table shows tables for four available at 5:45, 6:45, 7:15 and 7:30 p.m.

Bibiana: This downtown Italian restaurant will offer its own version of the Feast of the Seven Fishes for $65 per person, excluding beverages, tax and gratuity. What’s available: Open Table shows tables for four available at 5:45, 8 and 8:15 p.m.

Ardeo/Bardeo: Another restaurant in Cleveland Park offering a special menu: this one a $50 per person prie fixe. What’s available: Open Table shows tables for four available all night.

nopa Kitchen + bar: The restaurant will be serving its usual menu along with holiday specials such as prime rib, roast duck and apple strudel for dessert. What’s available: Open Table shows tables for four available all night.

701 Restaurant: This Penn Quarter spot will be serving an a la carte menu, as well as $55 per person prie fixe menu that includes a chocolate yule log dessert. What’s available: Open Table shows reservations for four vailable all night.

Firefly: This Dupont Circle restaurant in the Hotel Madera will be offering complimentary glasses of champagne. Servers will be vying for the crowd’s choice of favorite ugly Christmas sweater. What’s available: A rep says they aren’t fully booked yet; call (202) 861-1310 for reservations.

Al Dente: Tables are still available for Chef Roberto Donna’s version of the Feast of the Seven Fishes at this Wesley Heights restaurant, which runs $45 per person. What’s available: Open Table shows tables for four vailable at 5:15, 5:30, 7:15 and 7:30 p.m.

Cafe Milano: Another fishy feast is on offer at this Georgetown institution. This one runs you $95 per person, which includes a glass of prosecco. What’s available: Open Table shows tables for four available at 4:30 and 7:30 p.m.

Cafe du Parc: This restaurant in the Willard Intercontinental Hotel doesn’t have information posted about special Christmas Eve menus, but a table there could be worth it just to see The Willard’s award-winning Christmas decorations. What’s available: Open table shows tables for four available at 7:15 and 7:30 p.m.

DGS Delicatessen: For those less interested in Christmas and more interested in the informal Jewish tradition of eating Chinese food on Christmas, DGS in Dupont Circle is offering a Christmas Eve Chinese Banquet, which combines Jewish and Chinese cuisines in dishes like a reuben egg roll and pastrami lo mein. The banquet menu runs $37 per person, with an optional $18 for beverage pairings. What’s available: Open Table shows tables for four available at 4:30 and 9:30 p.m.

In the ‘burbs:

8407 kitchen bar: This Silver Spring restaurant is offering its usual menu as well as a few Christmas Eve specials, including prime rib and baked cod for entrees, and a light-and-dark chocolate diamond for dessert. What’s available: Open Table shows tables for four available at 5:15, 6, 8:30 and 8:45 p.m.

Liberty Tavern: This Clarendon spot will offer Chef Liam LaCivita’s take on the Feast of the Seven Fishes for $45 per person. What’s available: Open Table shows tables for two available at 7:45 and 8 p.m.

Lyon Hall: Liberty Tavern’s sister restaurant will also serve dinner Christmas Eve. What’s available: Open Table shows tables for two available all night.

Jackson 20: This Old Town Alexandria restaurant will serve Christmas Eve dinner from 5 to 8 p.m. What’s available: A rep says they aren’t fully booked yet, call (703) 842-2790 for reservations.

Carmello’s of Old Town Manassas: This Italian family restaurant will offer an entree of a two-pound lobster stuffed with crabmeat, shrimp and scallops for $48; in addition, kids under 12 eat free. What’s available: Open Table shows tables for four available at 8:00 and 8:15 p.m.

Bistro Vivant: This French restaurant in McLean is offering its usual a la carte menu in addition to a $59 Christmas Eve prie fixe, which includes a buche de noel (yule log) as a dessert option. What’s available: Open Table shows tables for four available all night.
