BEDFORD, Va. (AP) -- The National Park Service is continuing its search for a new management team for the Peaks of Otter Lodge and Restaurant on the Blue Ridge Parkway.
Parkway superintendent Paul Francis tells The Roanoke Times (http://bit.ly/VpnPi4V ) that several potential concessionaires have expressed interest since the park service revised the management proposal.
Francis expects the 63-room lodge and restaurant to reopen in early June with a new management team.
Longtime manager Peaks of Otter Virginia decided not to bid on a new 10-year contract with the park service. The lodge and restaurant closed in November.
Bids for a new management contract will be accepted until Feb. 6.
