WASHINGTON (AP) -- The Smithsonian is asking for the public to help fund an exhibit about the history of yoga.
The first-ever exhibition on the visual history of yoga is scheduled to debut this fall at the Sackler Gallery.
WRC-TV (http://tinyurl.com/ayr32rp ) reports that on May 29, the Smithsonian will launch an online fundraising campaign that's the first of its time for the institution. The goal is to raise $125,000.
Curator Debra Diamond says yoga was a good subject for this kind of fundraising effort "because community has been part of it for centuries."
