EDGEWATER, Md. (AP) -- Anne Arundel County fire officials say winds from superstorm Sandy fed a house fire in Edgewater that caused extensive damage.
The fire broke out about 10:30 p.m. Monday. Firefighters arrived to find flames on the second story and the roof.
Fire Department Division Chief Michael Cox tells The Capital of Annapolis (http://bit.ly/VClmOX) that the winds, at their peak at that time, were feeding the blaze.
It took firefighters an hour to get the blaze under control.
The fire caused $150,000 in damage. No one was injured.
