James Madison rallies past William & Mary, 31-24

HARRISONBURG, Va. (AP) — Vad Lee found DeAndre’ Smith from nine yards out with 47-seconds left, capping off a 12 play, 78-yard scoring drive, and James Madison upset William & Mary 31-24 on Saturday.

Lee completed 26 of 40 for 324 yards and three touchdowns to lead James Madison (6-3, 3-2 Colonial Athletic Conference) and Daniel Brown finished with 128 yards receiving with a touchdown. Smith added six catches and 58 yards including his game winner.

After Kendell Anderson returned a blocked punt for a touchdown, giving William & Mary a 24-13 lead, James Madison rallied for the final three scores of the game, two Lee touchdown passes and a 35-yard field goal by Ryan Maglio.

Mikal Abdul-Saboor rushed for 124 yards and a touchdown to lead the Tribe (5-4, 2-3). Steve Cluley added 172 yards passing and a touchdown.
