Virginia woman dies in Maine crash

STEUBEN, Maine (AP) — State police say a Virginia woman died after her vehicle crashed on Route 1 in Steuben.

WNSX-FM reports 74-year-old Virginia Keiley of Hume, Virginia was the sole occupant of a small SUV that crashed while traveling north on Route 1 on Sunday night. Police say Keiley was not wearing a seatbelt. She and her husband were visiting the Milbridge area.

Police say the cause of the crash is unknown but appears to have been a medical issue. They say speed and distracted driving do not appear to have been factors.
