Richmond (3-2, 1-1 Colonial Athletic Association) struck back on Peter Yoder’s field goal with 11 seconds left in the game to put the Spiders up three. In the finals seconds, Liberty’s freshman kicker John Lunsford sent the game to overtime on a 60-yard field goal, set up by Gabe Henderson’s 22-yard reception.
