James Madison rallies past St Francis, 38-22

HARRISONBURG, Va. (AP) — Vad Lee threw for 147 yards and two touchdowns, and ran for 174 yards and another score, to lead James Madison over St Francis 38-22 on Saturday.

Jauan Latney added 106 yards and a touchdown on the ground for the Dukes, who racked up 338 yards rushing.

The James Madison defense forced four Red Flash turnovers, including a 43-yard interception return for a touchdown by Jimmy Moreland for the first score of the game.

A 30-yard touchdown pass from Zach Drayer to Anthony Abeid trimmed the St. Francis deficit to 24-22 late in the third, but James Madison scored the game’s final 14 points, highlighted by a Lee 76-yard touchdown run.

Khairi Dickson led St. Francis with 216 yards rushing and a touchdown on a career-high 39 carries. Drayer went 11 of 21 for 128 yards.
