ROCKY MOUNT, Va. (AP) — Rocky Mount officials are celebrating the restoration of a Coca-Cola sign painted on an old downtown bottling plant.
The building has been converted into a restaurant that will open soon.
Media outlets report that Coca-Cola officials and local dignitaries held a ceremonial ribbon-cutting for the sign and the restaurant on Wednesday.
Town officials say the sign’s restoration is another step in an effort to revitalize the downtown area.
