Police seek clues in death of woman in Falls Church

WASHINGTON — A woman believed to be in her mid-20s was found dead in a house in Falls Church on Wednesday morning.

The Fairfax County police say they went to the home on Westmoreland Road, just south of Route 50, at about 9:30 a.m. They say no one answered the door and they saw nothing out of the ordinary. Later in the day, they returned with a homeowner and went inside. They found the woman, who was renting a room in the home, dead.

Police believe the woman died from trauma, but the medical examiner is investigating.

Police are looking for a car they say may be related to the death: a gold, four-door 2004 Mercedes-Benz, with Virginia license plates WVF-8414.
