Donations pour in for family of slain pharmacist

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (AP) — A pharmaceutical software company executive has collected donations of more than $62,000 to the family of a Virginia Beach pharmacist who was fatally shot.

President and CEO Steve Wubker of Ocoee, Florida-based Rx30 presented a check Friday to Lynne Kilgore. Her husband, David, was fatally shot during a holdup two months ago.

David Kilgore used the Rx30 software at his store. WAVY-TV (http://bit.ly/1qNhEDc) reports that when Wubker found out about Kilgore’s death, he reached out to the independent pharmacy community. More than 1,200 people sent donations and condolences from across the country.

Lynne Kilgore says the family is “very appreciative” of the donation.
