RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — Two animal welfare organizations in the Richmond area are offering a reward for information leading to the arrest of a cat burglar.
While the term cat burglar is typically reserved for a thief with a knack for entering and exiting a property undetected, it has a more literal meaning in this case. Six cats were stolen in three separate break-ins at no-kill shelters operated by the Richmond SPCA and the Richmond Animal League over the past week. One cat has been recovered.
The organizations say they are offering a $1,000 reward for tips leading to an arrest or the return of the three kittens and two adult female cats that remain missing.
