Audio: Killer never found
WASHINGTON -- For the parents of Amy Baker, March is always a difficult month. March 16 was their daughter's birthday, and March was when her life was taken in 1989.
It's been 25 years, and still no one has been charged in her murder.
Amy would have been 43 years old this year.
Just days after disappearing, Baker's body was found off of I-95 South in Springfield, Va. She was 18 when she was killed.
The unsolved case still haunts her parents, who live in Stafford, Va. Baker had been visiting her aunt in Falls Church, Va., when on the evening of March 29, 1989, she drove home but never made it to Stafford.
Instead, her car was found abandoned near Backlick Road by Virginia State Police.
Despite a $27,000 reward, the person who raped and killed Baker has not been identified or caught.
