NORFOLK, Va. (AP) -- A $25,000 reward has been posted in hopes of nabbing two serial bank robbery suspects in Hampton Roads.
The reward is being offered by the FBI and the financial industry for two men believed to be responsible for 11 armed bank robberies from January 2011 and last October. Most of the bank heists have occurred in Virginia Beach, with several also occurring in Chesapeake.
The FBI said the two have shown weapons and hidden their faces behind ski masks or bandanas. They also have worn hats and gloves.
The men are described as being in their mid-30s, 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-10 and each about 170 pounds.
The reward goes to any providing information leading to the arrest and conviction of both men.
