FALLS CHURCH, Va. (AP) -- A 32-year-old man with a prior criminal record has been charged in the shooting of an acquaintance in Falls Church.
Falls Church police say James Moore Jr. was arrested Sunday and is being held without bond pending a court appearance.
Police believe Moore shot 23-year-old Carlos Gonzales of Arlington early on the morning of Dec. 28. Police say the two men know each other and were arguing before Moore opened fire. Gonzales was shot four times in the torso. Police say he is expected to recover.
Moore is facing charges including aggravated malicious wounding, attempted robbery, use of a firearm during a felony and possession of a firearm by a felon.
