NORFOLK, Va. (AP) -- The Chrysler Museum of Art in Norfolk has hired a new curator for its world-class glass art collection.

The Virginian-Pilot reports (http://bit.ly/19Obe0N) that Diane C. Wright will start in March.

She has a master's degree in the history of decorative arts and design from Parsons The New School for Design in New York City and has lectured and conducted research at top institutions.

Wright replaces Kelly Conway, who was hired last summer to be curator of American glass at the Corning Museum of Glass in Corning, N.Y. Conway had worked at the Chrysler Museum since 2007.
