LYNCHBURG, Va. (AP) -- Dom Dunnaville ran for three touchdowns and Northside played stout defense, leading the Vikings to a 24-10 victory against James Monroe in the VHSL's Group 3A state championship game on Saturday at Liberty University.

James Monroe (10-5) trailed 10-0 at halftime and lost in the title game for the third consecutive season.

James Monroe's lone touchdown came on a 12-yard pass from Jay Croggins to Calvin Kennedy with 8:05 to play.
