RICHMOND, Va. (AP) -- Road conditions are improving across Virginia while another storm is on its way.
The Virginia Department of Transportation says all major roadways are clear across the state as of Monday afternoon.
As temperatures increase, officials say the ice and snow are melting. But motorists should still watch for snow and icy patches on bridges, overpasses and shady areas.
Crews will continue to treat icy spots as necessary and are preparing for another round of winter weather expected to impact the western and northwestern regions of the state late Monday into Tuesday morning.
Transportation officials say there's the potential for rain, snow and freezing rain in the far western region of the state.
