RICHMOND, Va. (AP) -- Virginia Commonwealth University Chief Operating Officer David W. Hanson is leaving to become chief financial officer at Phillips Exeter Academy.
He announced Wednesday that he will leave the Richmond school at the end of December.
Hanson had served as chief operating officer and senior vice president at VCU since 2012. He previously served as the university's chief financial officer.
In his new job at the New Hampshire school, VCU says in a news release that Hanson will be responsible for its financial and legal affairs, human resources and various service operations.
