ROANOKE, Va. (AP) -- A task force is being formed that will address human trafficking in Virginia.
U.S. attorney's spokesman Brian McGinn in Virginia's western district says an announcement is set for Friday at the Roanoke Police Academy.
McGinn says representatives of his office and state public safety officials will attend.
Among the issues that will be discussed will be the makeup and coverage area of the task force, along with support for training and victim services.
Gov. Bob McDonnell has called human trafficking "one of the fastest growing criminal enterprises in the world."
