RICHMOND, Va. (AP) -- The Virginia Board of Medicine has revoked the license of a Henrico County psychiatrist accused of inappropriate sexual contact with six patients.
Dr. Anandababu Chellappan agreed in a consent order with the board to not contest the allegations. He did not admit or deny them.
The Oct. 25 order says Chellappan inappropriately touched the female patients and asked one woman to perform oral sex on him.
In July, Chellappan was convicted in Henrico General District Court of simple assault involving one patient. The conviction was appealed to circuit court.
He was found not guilty in June of a misdemeanor sexual battery charge involving another patient.
