Dog-sitter charged with stealing from clients

WASHINGTON – The owner of a dog-sitting service has been charged with stealing prescription drugs from her clients’ houses, and the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office says they’re looking for more victims.

Christina L. Garrett-Gates, 38, of Lovettsville, the operator of Christy’s Canine & Pet Care, was charged in July with larceny and narcotic possession after a family who employed her told them that prescription drugs were missing from their house.

Detectives say they’ve recently gotten information that leads them to believe Garrett-Gates took drugs and other items from more houses. Anyone who thinks they may have been victimized should call 703-737-8757.
