LYNCHBURG, Va. (AP) - Liberty University will dedicate its new Morris Campus Garden on Friday.
The garden opened recently and is located on Liberty's mountain property in Rustburg about three miles from campus. The garden provides an opportunity for students to learn how to grow their own food and give back to the community.
The garden is named in honor of Henry and Elvira Morris, who donated Liberty's first greenhouse. Members of the Morris family will attend the dedication and ribbon cutting, which will be followed by food samplings, cooking demonstrations and a tour of the grounds.
