Va. home built by JFK selling for $11M

WASHINGTON – A Virginia home that once belonged to President John F. Kennedy and first lady Jacqueline Kennedy can be yours — if you can afford the nearly $11 million asking price.

The Fauquier County “Wexford” residence, which the Kennedys built in 1963, is listed at $10,995,000, according to its Long and Foster listing online. The four-bedroom, four-and-a-half bath home is located at 1666 Hatchers Mill Rd. in Marshall, Va.

In addition to the home, the 166-acre estate includes an in-ground pool, tennis courts, a pond, water falls, room for horses and a three-car garage, according to the online listing.

The entire Kennedy family visited the 5,050-square-foot home only twice before JFK’s assassination in November 1963, according to real estate blog Curbed D.C.

The residence was used by more than one president, according to Curbed D.C. Ronald Reagan rehearsed for his debates with President Jimmy Carter at this house, Curbed D.C. reports.
