RICHMOND, Va. (AP) -- Container maker Ardaugh Group plans to open a $93.5 million metal packaging manufacturing plant in Roanoke County.
Gov. Bob McDonnell announced the project Tuesday in a news release. The plant will employ 96 workers.
McDonnell says the plant will be the largest single manufacturing investment in Roanoke County's history.
Luxembourg-based Ardaugh manufactures containers for the food and beverage industry.
To assist Roanoke County with the project, McDonnell approved a $750,000 grant from the Governor's Opportunity Fund.
