RICHMOND, Va. (AP) -- A former World Wrestling Entertainment competitor is participating in a forum in Richmond focusing on the risks of sports concussions among young athletes.

Chris Nowinski is a brain-injury survivor. He also is co-director for the Boston University School of Medicine's Center for the Study of Traumatic Encephalopathy, and co-founder and executive director of the Sports Legacy Institute. He's scheduled to speak on brain trauma in young athletes.

The conference Friday at the Westin Hotel will review how the state is helping Virginians with such injuries.
