CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (AP) -- A Virginia man with a concealed weapon permit had a loaded gun confiscated from his carry-on bag at the Charlottesville airport.
The Transportation Security Administration says X-ray equipment detected the .22-caliber handgun loaded with five bullets at a security checkpoint at the Charlottesville Albemarle Airport on Monday.
TSA notified police, who confiscated the gun. The man showed police his permit and wasn't charged. He was allowed to get on his flight to Atlanta without the gun.
Airport operations were unaffected. The man's name wasn't released.
