CHESTERFIELD, Va. (AP) -- Authorities are investigating the crash of a pontoon plane that overturned as it was landing on Lake Chesdin.
Virginia State Police Sgt. Thomas J. Molnar says the pilot, 53-year-old Frank Isbell of Chesterfield, and a passenger weren't injured.
The passenger was identified only as a 51-year-old man.
Molnar says the pilot didn't put the plane's wheels up before it touched down on the water.
The Smith Cub fixed single engine plane crashed around 5:20 p.m. Tuesday.
Molnar says no fuel leaked from the plane.
