Report: Presidential memorial site popular for sex (Video)

WASHINGTON – A site commemorating a former U.S. president appears to be a popular spot for sexual hookups.

Online sites say a parking lot and public bathroom at Lyndon Baines Johnson Memorial Grove on the Potomac — on an island near the Pentagon — are frequently used for hookups, ABC 7 reports. The channel says its hidden cameras showed people cruising the parking lot and hanging around inside the bathroom for hours.

U.S. Park Police are responsible for patrolling the area, and ABC 7 reports there were three arrests for lewd acts in 2012 and one for a sex offense in the first month and a half of 2013.

A Park Police spokesman says officers do actively patrol the area, although ABC 7 says it saw just one police vehicle at the site.
