RICHMOND, Va. (AP) -- Federal prosecutors will dismiss charges against a Petersburg man they say posed as a CIA agent to get others to rob banks in northern Virginia.

The charges are being dropped as part of a plea deal in which Joshua Brady pleaded guilty to forging a Richmond federal judge's signature. Court records show Brady forged the judge's signature in an effort to get his cell phone service restored after a dispute with Verizon over an unpaid bill.

Court records say Brady suffers from mental illness.

On Wednesday, Brady was sentenced to three years of supervised release and ordered to receive mental health treatment. He was also ordered not to use the Internet for a year.
