14,000 without power as spring storm hits Va.

RICHMOND, Va. -- About 14,000 customers are without electricity in Virginia as a spring storm moves across the state.

The National Weather Service says some areas in southwest Virginia could see up to 10 inches of snow Monday. Other areas could receive up to 6 inches.

Winter storm warnings are in effect for Washington, Frederick, Page, Warren, Clarke, Augusta, Rockingham, Shenandoah, Nelson, Tazewell, Grayson and Bath counties.

Dominion Virginia Power reports 5,175 outages. Appalachian Power says about 1,250 customers are without electricity.

Central Virginia Electric Cooperative reports about 5,600 outages. About 2,700 customers of Rappahannock Electric Cooperative are without electricity.
