RICHMOND, Va. (AP) -- Hundreds of Virginia high school students are competing in a robotics competition this weekend.
The event will be held Saturday at the Arthur Ashe Center in Richmond. It is free and open to the public.
Forty-eight teams are entered in the competition, which challenges remote-controlled robots to gather plastic rings and hang them on a rack while battling other robots.
The top two teams will earn spots at an event in St. Louis in April.
