Trial set for suspect in Norfolk officer's slaying

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. -- A 2014 trial is scheduled for a man charged with killing an off-duty Norfolk police officer in Virginia Beach.
Raymond Perry is charged with capital murder in the October 2010 fatal shooting of 25-year-old Victor Decker.
WVEC-TV (http://bit.ly/WJbd7H ) reports that Perry waived his right to a speedy trial during a hearing on Wednesday. His trial is set to begin Feb. 25, 2014.
Virginia Beach prosecutors plan to seek the death penalty in the case.
A preliminary hearing for co-defendant Kareem Turner is set for March 14. Turner is charged with second-degree murder.
