Police search for Clifton man who disappeared before trip

WASHINGTON – A frantic search is on for a 27-year-old Clifton man who went missing on Saturday morning.

Brian Woodworth was reported missing at about 5 p.m. Feb. 2 several hours after family members told police he didn’t come home from a trip to a sporting goods store, Fairfax County police spokesman Don Gotthardt tells ABC 7.

Woodworth’s white Toyota Highlander SUV was found near Bull Run Regional Park on Tuesday evening. But a police search of the area did not turn up anything, Gotthardt says.

He also didn’t show up for his flight to Costa Rica Tuesday, his family tells ABC 7.

If you have any information about his whereabouts, contact the Fairfax County Police at 703-691-2131.

Previously, there was a link to a Facebook page devoted to the search for Woodworth in this article, but the page has since been taken down.
