WEST POINT, Va. (AP) - Police say the fatal shootings of a King and Queen County couple appear to be a murder-suicide.

Media outlets report that sheriff's deputies responding to reports of a shooting found the bodies of 42-year-old Thomas Stout and his wife, 48-year-old Robin Stout, at their home near West Point on Saturday night.

A preliminary investigation indicates that Thomas Stout shot his wife with a handgun and then shot himself.
