Police: Elderly Lynchburg woman's death homicide

LYNCHBURG, Va. - Lynchburg police are investigating the death of an 86-year-old woman as a homicide.
Media outlets report that Lynda Slocum was found dead in her home on Thursday.
Police say there's evidence of forced entry. But they haven't released any other details.
