TIMBERVILLE, Va. - A fire in a poultry house in Rockingham County killed about 25,000 turkeys.
The Daily News-Record ( http://bit.ly/UhYWWG) reports that the fire Thursday was at Maymont Farm in Timberville. When firefighters arrived, the poultry house was engulfed in flames and they worked to stop the fire from spreading to other poultry houses and propane tanks.
The cause of the fire is being investigated. A damage estimate hasn't been released.
