HAMPTON, Va. (AP) - Residents who live near Langley Air Base are being advised that a base exercise this week will produce smoke, sirens and explosions.
The exercise is planned from Tuesday through Friday in Hampton. It's intended to improve the base's readiness for any number of emergencies, as well as deployments.
Besides smoke and explosions, neighbors can also expect to hear announcements from the base's public address system.
Visitors should expect traffic delays.
