Martinsville to raze dilapidated structures

MARTINSVILLE, Va. (AP) - More than a dozen dilapidated structures in Martinsville will be demolished during the city's current fiscal year.
The Martinsville Bulletin reports that six structures will be torn down by their owners. The city plans to demolish seven others, including a former pool.
The owner of another structure on the city's demolition list plans to rehabilitate it.
City Council members saw several structures targeted for demolition during a tour of the city's south side on Monday.
Martinsville's fiscal year ends in June 2013.
