Storm leaves more than 128,500 in Va. without power

RICHMOND, Va. - More than 128,500 electricity customers in Virginia don't have any power as a result of superstorm Sandy.

Most of the outages are in northern Virginia.

As of Tuesday afternoon, Dominion Virginia Power reported nearly 72,115 of its 74,600 outages are in northern Virginia. A majority of about 32,380 outages reported by electric cooperatives also are in northern Virginia.

Appalachian Power is reporting about 21,500 outages, mainly in southwest Virginia.
