PORTSMOUTH, Va. - Paradise Creek Nature Park in Portsmouth is receiving a $100,000 gift from APM Terminals Virginia.
The gift was announced Wednesday during a sneak preview of the park for area dignitaries.
The 40-acre park includes more than 2 miles of trails, a pedestrian bridge and 11 acres of wetlands that have been restored by the Virginia Port Authority. It is expected to open to the public in December.
One of the park's trails will be named for APM Terminals Virginia in honor of its gift.
