LEXINGTON, Va. - Virginia Military Institute is hosting the state's inaugural STEM Education Conference.
The Lexington school says more than 500 educators, administrators, students and members of the private sector are expected attend the three-day conference. The conference begins Monday.
STEM is an acronym for science, technology, engineering and math. The conference will focus on mathematics as a gateway to success in these fields. It's the first of a three-year series of conferences.
