DANVILLE, Va. (AP) - Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. is laying off 41 workers at its plant in Danville.
The layoffs are effective Feb. 4.
Goodyear spokeswoman Laura Singleton tells the Danville Register & Bee ( http://bit.ly/V26XMp) that the layoffs affect hourly workers throughout the plant.
The layoffs will reduce the plant's workforce to 2,150 employees.
The plant makes medium radial commercial truck tires and airplane tires.
