NORFOLK, Va. - Norfolk International Airport says passenger traffic decreased by more than 7 percent in October compared with the same month last year.
The airport said Tuesday that October's passenger count was about 258,000, down from about 278,000 in 2010.
The passenger count from January to October 2011 was about 2.6 million, or about a 4.7 percent decrease over the same period the previous year.
Cargo shipments increased by nearly 1 percent to about 5.7 million pounds in October compared with the same period last year.
