WASHINGTON – U.S. gymnast McKayla Maroney didn’t bother hiding her disappointment Sunday when she narrowly missed winning the gold medal in the Olympic women’s vault competition.
She stood on the podium frowning, an image that has since sparked a phenomenon on Tumblr.
“McKayla is not impressed” started with a cutout of the gymnast edited into moments of Olympic glory, from U.S. women’s soccer to U.S. men’s basketball.
Maroney now also appears unimpressed by historic events from the Wright Brothers first flight to the Mars Rover landing. Even Harry Potter’s wand does nothing for the Olympian.
