Olympic tennis goes indoors for 1st time since '12

Sunday - 7/29/2012, 7:33am  ET

WIMBLEDON, England (AP) - Olympic tennis has moved indoors for the first time in 100 years.

A brief shower Sunday delayed the start of play and prompted tournament officials to close the retractable roof over Centre Court at Wimbledon for the match between Agnieszka Radwanska of Poland and Julia Goerges of Germany. It began only five minutes late.

Tennis at the 1912 Games in Stockholm was played in a pavilion on wood courts.
