9-year-old boy shot in Southeast Saturday night

WASHINGTON — A 9-year-old boy was shot in the District’s Southeast on Saturday night. The Metropolitan Police Department says the incident happened around 9 p.m. on Elvans Road near Suitland Parkway.

The boy was shot in the arm and has minor injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.

D.C. police are investigating the shooting.
